Bag Trends: TRENDING INDEPENDENT: TOUCH OF YELLOW

If you haven't looked at our IHDA Finalists, do it now so you know where this trend came from.

Ophilya, Hard leather bag, hand woven leather, plum purple, $550
Jess Rizzuti New York, "Olivia" style, Top Handle bag, python heat transfered printed cork, yellow tinted cork, brown tinted cork, lined with cotton and cork, $596
Nikki DeLuca, "Lulu" style, Messenger-Shoulder bag, tan supersoft cow skin, peach and yellow lambskin, $375

Every year we review the IHDA applicants and we start to see special and unique patterns. We can't even call them trends when it is coming from a village in Brazil or a teenager from Japan. We have found that many times these designers do not have access to trend or data research, have not gone to the last season's shows or have seen the most recent issue of Vogue. What is the reason for it? Well, there is something organic about creativity much like our past stories of textured whites or geometic shaped bags. We have found that having a touch of yellow makes all the difference to the just needed pop of color. What influenced these designers? You decide but we know, we like what we are seeing and we know we will be seeing more of this talent and their splash of yellow.
